Hi! And welcome to the website edition of my book about the Zodiac killer! This book was originally self-published in 1990, 1991, 1993, and 1994. I will eventually scan all those physical editions onto this site as separate articles.
If you're coming here for the first time, I recommend taking a look at my other five websites first:
Zodiac Killer Circumstantial
Zodiac Killer Cryptographic
Zodiac Killer Eyewitness
Zodiac Killer Forensic
Zodiac Killer Timeline
Those sites concentrate on conventional aspects of the Zodiac murders, and, as such, are a kind of necessary bridge between the standard True Crime accounts of the Zodiac events you'll find elsewhere, and the very specific cryptographic approach you'll find here. However, the conventional websites are currently under construction (as is this site, though TZMS, being almost 3 years older than the others, is further along in its evolution); articles will continue to be added to all 6 websites as time goes on.
Zodiac Killer Confidential, on WordPress.com, is a “back channel” blog, mostly on Zodiac Killer websites and message boards; if you're not familiar with the Zodiac online community, it may not be your cup of tea, though occasionally I discuss the case itself there. My Zodiac Killer videos can be found here; they are likewise a work in progress (pardon our appearance).
The Zodiac Murders--Solved! is meant to be read in sequence.
If you try reading it out of sequence, it won't make sense to you.
Trust me. So resist the urge to skip ahead. You are being baby-stepped through a relatively complex series of
suppositions and explications, a narrative which is difficult enough to
swallow if you do it in the recommended order.
This book doesn't have a
single crucial point to build toward, like a drum roll. It's an
example of Argument By Attrition. So meet that argument halfway by
digesting it in the recommended order. The further into the book you
get, the more this strategy will make sense to you.
